Our goal at CCW By State is to provide our readers with as much CCW & 2nd Amendment information currently available, but each and every one of us must appreciate the dangers of our weapon(s) and the importance of gun safety for ourselves and for our families. Every year in the U.S., 500 children die from unintentional shootings and another 8,000 are injured. Because of statistics like these, agenda-driven politicians try to chip-away at our 2nd amendment rights on a regular basis. One of the best ways to protect the 2nd amendment and our rights as gun owners is to practice and teach others about gun safety.
We strongly advocate educating your children about gun safety the second they show any interest in your weapon(s), the 2nd amendment or anything related. Demanding that your child stays away from your gun is only going to spur more interest and could lead to a tragedy the next time your child is out of your supervision. The best way to teach your child about gun safety is through valuable educational information online and a course. First, watch this great Gun Safety video that we found on youtube: The Basic Rules of Gun Safety. Next, use CCW By State to educate yourself and your children on the importance of Gun Safety every chance you get by checking out our Gun Safety Articles. Lastly, CCW By State suggests that your consider enrolling your child in a gun safety course. The NRA and Cabela’s both offer courses throughout the country and both have a great reputation. Just for fun, we also created a gun safety quiz to test you and/or your kid’s knowledge about gun safety below:
